Somnath (Sam) Songire known as Sam is a dance choreographer and a visionary artist who crafts stories and emotions through movement.
Hailing from Mumbai, Sam is a versatile dance choreographer and teacher with an 18-year career. He is an assistant choreographer and assists Master M Sudhakar from DWS Dance Company, Andheri, Mumbai. His expertise extends across multiple dance styles, and he has previously contributed to the Bollywood industry as an assistant choreographer. His choreography and creative direction credits span across various platforms, such as music albums in multiple languages, television reality shows, and corporate gatherings. He worked alongside Sadanandji Rane, a distinguished Indian folk dance maestro, on the television programs “Dhina Dhin Dha” and “Dam Dama Dam” broadcast on Mumbai Doordarshan. Having triumphed in three consecutive seasons, he is a formidable champion of the Indian folk dance reality show, “Dhina Dhin Dha” telecast on DD National, Mumbai. As a triple threat, Sam writes, directs, and choreographs music videos for his YouTube channel. He is a London-based dance professional who has organized a dance workshop in Leicester in 2022 and a Bollybics workshop in Harrow. His portfolio also includes producing flash mobs for mayoral events.
